I am an encaustic artist. I love that fire is my creative tool, its volatile nature keeps things interesting.
My art philosophy is to create holistic, sustainable artworks. I make my encaustic medium from locally sourced beeswax.
I craft my cradle boards to the client’s desired dimensions. I use a Japanese wood preservation technique called Yukisugi to finish the edges as this also requires fire.
My inspiration comes from researching ancient techniques and the colour, form and texture of the natural world. Each one of my pieces is unique.
