Ruby grew up on a sheep and crop farm 25 minutes from Young in NSW. She went to Red Bend Catholic College as a boarder in Forbes. She has two sisters named Violet and Molly.

When she finished school she worked for a year on her family farm as a roustabout and she really liked working there. After that she started at Job Centre in Young.

She started her creative journey by making dream catchers. She found it really easy and I enjoyed making them. She shared her work on Instagram and when people wanted to buy her products she realised that this could be a business for her. She started teaching myself macrame using rope from Big W and using old broom handles cut into pieces from the farm.

Now she makes and sell macrame keyrings, marcrame wall hangings and dream catchers though her instagram page rubymae_creations.

Ruby hopes to build a small business, learning about and making new products and stock stores across the Riverina.
