SWMRC’s mission is to drive emotional and social wellbeing by connecting individuals and communities. The organisation delivers music education services through individual tuition, classroom lessons, workshops, community programs and events. We ensure learning and performance opportunities for students, ensembles, community groups and choral programs and provide rehearsal space for local musicians and community groups such as Sing Australia.
Our events and community programs greatly rely on a volunteer committee (10+ local individuals) and are proudly delivered in collaboration with community partners (Eg. Deni Mental Health Awareness Group, U3A, ERC). SWMRC is committed to ensuring a healthy cultural life for the community and brings diverse, high-quality nationally significant touring and performing musicians to the region. SWMRC is ensuring the region has access to music education and concert experiences that are similar to those in larger regional centres or metropolitan areas.
