I am an artist and steward living at the foothills of the Snowy Mountains, practicing fibre art, writing and homesteading.

A desire to be self + community sufficient as a way of addressing social and ecological injustices led me to the food and fibre aspects of farming, growing deeply sustainable textiles in a soil to skin model is the long term dream of my art practice.

How can traditional craft be used to heal the human and landscape relationship? How can cloth make tangible our values? How can localisation encourage curiosity, community and creativity? What is the role of the artisan in conveying an ecological consciousness? These are some of the enquires I engage with.

I root into the earth through words and farming. I meet my ancestors in the soft landscape of textile art.

Slow-making with my hands is both a political and spiritual act. Growing food from seed with a regenerative spirit and making textiles with ancient tools, local plants and fibre, all orientates me to a livelihood of reciprocity.

With each thread I evoke the memory of a folk tradition that honours the living earth and understands the ritual aspect of warp and weft, as well as the integrity and quality of natural material.
