I’m Remy, a producer, arts teacher, NIDA-trained actor and musician. New to the Riverina and looking to grow an appetite for meaningful and accessible art in my community.
Since 2015 I produced for Candlelight Productions (Squeaky Clean Comedy Gala, community housing programs), Eagle’s Nest Theatre (school programs), 3D Arts Company (youth classes/productions) and Fusion Theatre (access programs). I practice as a composer (In The Park’s As You Like It, 2019), digital artist (The Data God, 2021) and writer (winner of Sparklit’s 2021 YCW award for reflections about faith and beauty in postmodern Australia). My wife Nichola practices as a poet and visual artist.
We want to practice as artists in regional Australia for the long haul. Our philosophy of art is locally embedded (serving people and places), inclusive (lowering barriers to access), hospitable (creating safety for relationships), challenging (helping us mature) and generative (creates more value than it takes to make it).
