Since graduating with a Bachelor of Interior Design from the University of South Australia, I have worked both in Australia and abroad for the past 20 years. In the United Kingdom I was lucky enough to work at Designers Guild and Sebastian Conran Design and upon returning to Australia working for Italian manufacturer Poliform and then 8 years with prominent designer, Stephen Akehurst.
After 10 years of living and working in Melbourne, my family and I made a tree change to take up residence in Ballarat and after 7 years in Ballarat we have made another tree change to Wagga, NSW. I am lucky enough that with email and the internet this hasn’t stopped me from continuing to work with my Ballarat clients whilst broadening my scope to include a whole new state.
As a qualified interior designer (B. Interior Design) with more than 20 years of industry experience, I can provide design concepts, detailed drawings, town planning submissions, plans and elevations, assist with selection of fittings and finishes through to furniture and artwork selection for residential and commercial clients.
My objective is to collaborate closely with clients to provide a timeless yet fresh design; guiding clients through an enjoyable design process whilst minimising the stress of design decisions along the way. Depending on your experience I can either ‘hold your hand’ for the entire process or just provide guidance in small areas that you are not quite sure on.
Developing a strong initial brief and understanding of the budget with clients and keeping an open dialogue throughout the project, ensures a successful outcome and a home that is individual and unique to each client.
