Little Black Duck | Ashleigh Pengelly

Drawing inspiration from Country, my work celebrates a vibrant, colourful palette that reflects the world around me. Based in Uranquinty on the outskirts of Wagga Wagga on Wiradjuri Country, my artworks are held in collections across Australia and internationally, including Japan, the Swiss Alps and the United States.

I have been commissioned to create artworks and design for a wide range of organisations, including Amnesty international, TAFE NSW, the Department of Communities and Justice, Disability Support services, Charles Sturt University, Wagga Wagga City Council, and more.

As a 100% Aboriginal-owned business, I am passionate about creating functional art that brings storytelling and culture into everyday life. This has led to the development of a diverse range of homewares and giftware featuring my artwork, including my signature hand-painted teapots, Australiana candles, hand-painted serving boards, earrings, handbags, custom name badges, clothing and more.

Alongside my art practice, I offer a range of creative and professional services, including graphic design, website design, artwork commissions, corporate gifting, and B2B products, including custom-made items tailored specifically for your business.

For individuals, community groups, and corporate clients, I also facilitate engaging creative workshops. These include Aboriginal art workshops, earring making, candle making, and resin serving board workshops, designed to be inclusive, hands-on, and culturally enriching.
