The Deniliquin Film Society is a non-profit community group run by volunteers.
It is run by a small committee who are elected at our Annual General Meeting each year.
Our aim is to present members a choice of films in a comfortable cinematic environment, regardless of the medium, that ensures the screenings are social events and promote interaction between members and with the local community.
We also aim to encourage interest in film as an art form and as a medium of information and education by means of the exhibition of a wide range of significant, classic and critically acclaimed cinema selected from all countries and all genres as well as providing advice and support for community group screenings.
Our key income source is membership fees and we are happy to accept donations. We source our films commercially and from the National Film and Sound Archive.
Although originally screening films only in 16mm in 2006 we started using DVD format and now more recently films have been predominantly streamed.
