Kate’s Face and Body Art

Katie Moore is an artist, and her chosen canvas is the human body.
Always searching for creative mediums to fuel her love for art and make her heart sing, it was while working in Early Childhood Teaching (something she remains passionate about) that Katie discovered makeup artistry and body painting.
She never would have guessed that Body Art would be her medium of choice, but soon realised that the human body is already a work of art, and to create on and with the body celebrates life, movement, emotion and expression. For Katie, there’s a wonderful connection between herself as painter and the person being painted.
Katie moved back to the Riverina after living and working on Stradbroke Island in Queensland for five years. Although she loved the beauty of “Straddie” she is proud to be living back in the Riverina and is excited to be involved with the amazing community here.
Katie’s Wagga Wagga-based business ‘Kate’s Face and Body Art’ offers mobile makeup artistry, face painting for children’s and adults’ events, pregnant belly painting, art instillations and workshops across the Riverina.
Teaching painting techniques is her favourite part of the business, as giving others the confidence and techniques to be creative themselves is a wonderful gift to give.
Katie believes that making art with others not only gives you the time and space needed for your own creativity, it also connects you with other people socially and, in turn, can inspire, grow and uplift all those involved.

Katie currently offers collaboration deals with other artists such as photogtaphy from Jackie Cooper at ‘Jack of Hearts Studio’ in Wagga Wagga and hopes to collaborate with more artists.
